Case Study
An introduction to Sustainability
Need
Our client is a membership based organisation that launched their Sustainability Academy in 2020. The goal was to add value to their membership base through education and awareness building on the what, how and why of sustainability.
Engagement
Sustainability is also referred to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), Good Citizenship, Responsible Business, Social & Environmental Sustainability and Environmental Social Governance (ESG). It depends on the business and your geographic location. For us it encompasses Workplace, Ethics, Financial & Economic, Environment & Climate and Social & Community. The programme covered all these areas. SustHub was chosen as training partner for the Sustainability Academy to deliver an introduction to Sustainability.
Training was delivered over two 3h immersive and interactive sessions to less than 15 persons to enable greater interaction. The focus of the training was on the principles and pillars of sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), key trends, and a framework for sustainability journey for business from basic to leadership. Participants also had 1h one to one focused conversations with the trainers on key questions related to their own business needs.
Outcome
The course was very well received by participants and the client alike. When asked how likely participants were to recommend this course to a friend or colleague the Net Promoter Score was +71.
Some participants comments:
“The session content was comprehensive and delivered extremely well”
“Well delivered. Colleagues need more information on these topics”
“Sustainability is very important to the future, it was easily explained”
